I am a professor of animal behavior at the University of Washington, as well as an associate with Adaptive Animals, LLC. My current research and clinical activities involve social behavior and aggression in macaque monkeys, killer whales, crows (both common and endangered) and companion animals (dogs and cats).

For fun, I love to fish saltwater (spinning, fly), snorkel, and travel with my wife Renee and son Andrew.
